Hey, everyone. Supreme here. Momma and I made it to Joplin, MO (with grandma in tow). We had quite an adventurous drive. Thunder storms, and rain, and traffic, oh my. We finally arrived at the hotel and got checked in, the car unpacked, and Penny's bear (you will hear about him later) out of his box. Actually Penny's bear and I got to ride in the back seat and watch all the cars go by. Penny Brown is staying with us (Momma's WOS from Sharon Shrine) and Sharon Olsen is also staying with us (Momma's AWOS from Jephthah Shrine). Well everyone, I do have pictures of the Bear and I in the car, I will post those later for you, but for now, I am really tired. Momma has promised me a fun-filled week and a tiring week, so I am going to sign off and say good night.

Good afternoon, Sojourners. We have had a great day so far. Momma, Gran and I went over to the Church Service this morning at the convention center. The place was packed. I got to meet a bunch of new people. The minister in charge of the service was Rev. Kevin Weaver, SFWM. He did a fantastic job. We started late, but I have learned that with this order, that happens. I just don't get my feathers in a ruffle. When Kevin was done with the service, we got to listen to all the Sojourners running for elected Supreme Offices. These are all brave people for want to take on the hard tasks for each officer and I wish them all good luck.
After the service was over, we came back to our room and then had lunch. Momma and Gran checked out the vendors and club tables. Momma let me take some pictures and we just basically relaxed. That is probably the last time we will be doing that. Well there are people to meet and things to see. Until next time.

Good Morning, everyone. It was 5 AM when Gran woke us up. Pennyslvania needs to learn to sleep in. We had our meeting this morning at 7 AM. The birds were not even up. But to my suprise, everyone (even Momma) had a smile on their face. We elected and installed our new officers, had our business meeting and then went for breakfast.
After the meeting, all of us went different directions, because we all had different meetings to go to. Momma went to both Susan Colby's meeting and Joan Denman's meeting. While at the meetings, we were introduced to all the Supreme floor officers. We got to see all the people in the meetings. After they went through, we were introduced to the candidates again. Momma has promised me that we will be seeing all of these Sojourners again and again and again until after elections. They are so lucky, they get to meet everyone. Wow, can I run for Supreme Herring Eater? There is much more to see and do, so I will check back in later.

During the afternoon, Momma, Gran and I went for a ride around Joplin. It is a beautiful city, and I highly recommend that anyone who has a chance to see this town, take the time and tour it.
This evening was the All Sojourner's Banquet and Unofficial Opening. Momma and I went to take photos, which I have already placed in the Gallery and have placed on the home page. I do have a couple photos here of me and the Bear to be Named Later.

Today is the exciting day. Momma says that not only will session open officially, but I will get to see my first Ceremonial. The officers did a great job with the opening of Supreme Shrine. There were 13 PSWHP and 13 PSWOS presented to the body. Wow, all that history. I would love to just sit with them and ask them a ton of questions. Momma says they are just like me. Does she mean that they packed a suitcase full of herring and cod also? Probably not.
That afternoon was the Patricia C Bloomquist International Club luncheon. Yes, Momma and I took pictures of that event. They are posted in the Gallery. After the luncheon was the Obituary service. It was beautiful. I got goose bumps on my penguin feathers. I even started to cry. I have never been so moved, I think everyone involved should get a standing ovation, but Momma said that was not appropriate. So I just say hats off to you. Great job.
The ceremonial was amazing. All the officer's look really great in their costumes and the ceremonial was fantastic. SWHP Pat should be very proud of her officers, they gave the candidates a great show. I was so wish I was human at that point, but then I would have to wear a seat belt, and would not be allowed to travel in my mom's backpack.
After ceremonial, it was party time. The Pennsylvania Fun Frolic is tonight. I get to see all these fun people in really funny hats. I also sat with the my buddy, the Bear to be Named Later. I wish he would hurry up and get a name (at the last day of the session, he was named "Jedadiah". I think I will call him "Jed" for short).

Wow, I feel like I was going forever, and ever, and ever. Momma had such a wild week at supreme Shrine. Along with her help, I managed to take over 1000 pictures of everything that was going on. I think I did pretty good. There was just so much that happened, that I could not report on all of it. My little head started to spin. She told me not to do too much, but I did not listen. I guess Momma's are alway right.
Well we are at home and doing some work to the website. We are deciding on what receptions we can afford to go to and what receptions are out of our financial capabilities. I will say, that when Momma says we are going, I will be packed and ready to roll. Hopefully, I will see you on the road, or in the Air, or (even possibly) on the Water. Remember, penguins like water.
Until then, As always, Supreme the Penguin.
